Outdoor Rock Lessons
Vertical Endeavors Guided Adventures (VEGA) offers year-round outdoor rock climbing. Our climbing lessons and guided trips are great for beginners and experienced climbers alike. Venture to Midwest hot spots such as Taylors Falls and Devil's Lake.
All programs are led by VEGA guides who are required to have a solid base of personal experience and have completed VEGA guide courses. VEGA is dedicated to providing you with the best experience possible. A signed VEGA Liability Waiver is required for all participants, climbers and spectators.
Private Lessons
Private outdoor lessons will provide the direction, structure and content to refine your climbing skills. We offer a wide-range of customized lesson topics including: anchors, self-rescue, and intro to trad. Improve your climbing skills by reserving time for a private lesson. Lessons are 4 hours long and conducted in groups of 2-3 people.
Top Rope Anchoring Skills
$200 per climber
Perfect for those who started indoors and are wanting to get outside, this course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of anchor building using bolts, natural features and traditional protection. Starting with a thorough introduction to traditional protective equipment and its various applications, this lesson is designed to provide a foundation of skills to help you learn the intricacies of constructing solid top rope anchor systems. Opportunities to climb during the lesson will be determined at our guides' discretion. Location options include Interstate State Park (Taylors Falls, MN), Ely's Peak (Duluth, MN), and Devil's Lake State Park (Baraboo, WI).

Outdoor Merit Badge Lesson: CLOSED FOR THE SEASON.
$90 per climber
A five-hour class in which Scouts can meet all of the requirements for the BSA Climbing Merit Badge. Badge requirements include belaying, rappelling, knot tying, rope management and other general safety requirements. We recommend that scouts be at least 12 years old. To receive the Outdoor Merit Badge, scouts need to have completed the First Aid Merit Badge.
