This local competition is not sanctioned by USA Climbing and is open to adults as well as youth.
A friendly speed climbing competition is returning to VED. A bracket will be made and go head to head with others on our auto belays. A prize will be given to the top 4 competitors. |
Annual Jug-or-Not Citizen’s Competition
We had so much fun with the community competition last year and we are going to do it again. There will be no skill categories, but competitors will be able to designate their gender, and we will post results for male, female and non-binary categories. Come out and test your skills on 25-30 new competition routes. All competitors and volunteers will be entered in a prize drawing. No matter what you will win bragging rights and receive a T-Shirt!
$45 Early Bird, $55 Regular, $65 Day of.
Not interested in competing. You can still be part of the fun. We need a ton of volunteers to help with the USA Climbing Qualifying Event in the morning and the Citizens Comp in the afternoon.
Volunteers will receive a free T-Shirt, 2 Free Day Passes and a 30% Off Coupon for your next pro shop purchase. Volunteers may compete for ½ Price!
All competitors and volunteers will be entered in the prize drawing.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED
ON SATURDAY, MARCH 29TH
Vertical Endeavors – Minneapolis is hosting our 11th annual Jug-or-Not Competition which includes the USA Climbing R61 Youth Qualifying Event in the morning and our Citizen’s Competition in the afternoon/evening. For our event to be a success we need lots of volunteers.
On March 29th we need belayers, judges, and General Volunteers to help with check-in, set up and tear down.

Queer Beta is an established meet up group looking to provide a safe and inclusive space for queer climbers.
Queer Beta meets at VE Bloomington on the fourth Tuesday of each month, from 6–8 PM.
Vertical Endeavors - Bloomington is proudly pairing up with Up Ending Parkinson's to bring you a meetup specifically for people who are affected by Parkinson's Disease. Family members are welcome to join! During the meetup, volunteers will be available to belay, encourage, and offer support to climbers.

Gals Against Gravity is a women's climbing group for those who identify as such. Gals fosters a community of positivity while seeking to teach skills and techniques to ladies in the world of climbing. Gals consists of a fun group of people who are all stoked on climbing. The group offers partners to climb with, clinics, and lessons aimed at improving climbing and having fun. All skill levels are welcome!
6–8 PM every Thursday at VE Glendale Heights, IL.
