About the Job:

Vertical Endeavors operates some of the largest indoor climbing facilities in the nation with multiple locations throughout Minnesota and Illinois. People of all ages and abilities can challenge themselves, train, and have fun climbing. Additional programming for kids and adults includes group events, parties, climbing teams, camps, outdoor adventures, fitness, yoga, and more.
We are currently seeking a Coordinator for the Yoga & Fitness programs at our VE Minneapolis facility. They will lead, manage and direct a team of independently contracted instructors while administrating the various programs, classes, and clientele. The person who meets the requirements for this position will maintain, promote, and increase the presence of the yoga, fitness, and movement programming at this facilitiy.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate, hard-working, and well-organized professional with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks. They must be self-motivated, driven, and have teaching experience in the area of yoga and fitness.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Administer thoughtfully curated and creative yoga, fitness, and/or movement programs and classes

Utilize independent discretion and judgment to create an ongoing, diverse, and engaging class schedule and create and update class formats, sequencing, instruction parameters, etc.

Identify, implement, and promote team building activities for staff

Maintain a positive relationship with customers, community, and staff

Evaluate, select, retain, and manage independently contracted instructors and workshop collaborators

Manage the Independent Contractor Agreements and liability insurance with instructors, including evaluation and determination of changes and improvements to same

Communicate with staff, instructors, instructor prospects, marketing, management, collaborators, etc. to drive maximum participation in programming

Hire, Train and onboard Yoga + Fitness Contractors on program facilitation and expectation Administer program procedurals (Instructor management, payroll compilation, corporate policies, facility operation, participant experience, etc.)

Identify, monitor, and improve key performance metrics for each program

Maintain activity on social media account

Create and organize content and photos for social media

Order and maintain the necessary studio inventory, equipment, and supplies

Identify and coordinate programming and participation in community-oriented events

Communicate with the Marketing team to create and maintain signage, promotional material, and social media content

Experience and Qualifications:

Yoga and Fitness training

CPR/AED certification

Attention to detail

Display independent sound judgment and preserve confidentiality

Lead, manage and direct others in a constructive manner; act as liaison between departments and facilities

Able to work both in a team setting and to be self-sufficient

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Customer service and promotional experience

Climbing experience preferred

Expectations:

20 - 30 hours per week Teach a minimum of 5 classes each week and sub as available

Weekday, evening, and weekend availability

Must display professionalism and integrity

Must pass a criminal background check

Must provide current driver’s license and vehicle insurance
