I Can Climb!


These programs are designed especially for first-time and beginning climbers ages five and older; no experience is necessary. Participants will try rock climbing first-hand with help from skilled guides. Register for one of four sessions: 9:00–10:30 AM, 11:00 AM–12:30 PM, 1:30–3:00 PM, or 3:30–5:00 PM.

This program is intended for climbers ages five and older. Climbers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Advance registration is required. A vehicle permit is required to enter all Minnesota state parks. Vehicle permits cost $5/day or $25/year and are not included in the cost of registration.

NOTE: Programs at Blue Mounds State Park require a short walk on a paved trail to the climbing area. Allow about 15 minutes for your hike, in order to arrive at your climbing program on time.


If you or the kids are looking for a little more of an adrenaline rush, head to stunning Tettegouche State Park. Climbers are lowered from the top of the cliff to just above Lake Superior and then climb back up. No experience necessary. Register for one of four sessions: 9:00–10:30 AM, 11:00 AM–12:30 PM, 1:30–3:00 PM, or 3:30–5:00 PM.

Early registration is recommended, as these programs tend to fill up fast.

Requirements
Children under the age of five may not climb. Climbers must be at least 10 years old for I Can Climb! On the North Shore. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

All participants are required to sign a waiver of liability prior to climbing (completed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian if under the age of 18). The waiver will be provided at the program but can also be found here. Fill it out before arriving to maximize your climbing time!


I Can Climb! Refund/Cancellation Policy
Program fees for I Can Climb! and I Can Climb! On the North Shore are non-refundable unless the program is cancelled by the instructors. All programs are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather or hazardous conditions.
