For those looking to venture off to the outdoor world of rock climbing, this two hour clinic offers an excellent introduction to top rope anchors training.

Prerequisites: Some climbing experience recommended

For climbers looking to take their first trip outdoors to sport climbing areas. Teaching the necessary skills and added considerations between leading indoors and outdoors. Students should have experience with indoor sport leading.

For climbers looking to tackle larger objectives beyond single pitch settings, this class will teach methods for building confidence and moving fluidly on big wall climbs.

Prerequisites: Must have experience building top rope anchors as well as leading with traditional gear

Looking to climb more at Devils Lake, get out on desert sandstone splitters or move toward the big walls of Yosemite Valley? Broaden your skills beyond face climbing to the world of cracks! Available to climbers of all levels of experience who want to expand their rock techniques.

Designed to teach students the skills necessary to handle emergency situations while climbing on rope. Ideal for any climber going outdoors on top rope, or single or multi-pitch leads.

This is one of the most important skills an aspiring outdoor climber can learn. Get hands-on practice in a controlled environment with our experienced instructors. We teach you how to properly rappel and improve your technique in preparation for your outdoor climbs!

As a recreational climber who has the mechanical skills needed to top rope climb, your next step is to learn proper techniques to maximize your performance on the wall. Clinics will discuss footwork, body positioning, resting, route reading and more, based on students’ individual needs. These techniques will advance your climbing level by enabling you to conserve your strength and climb more efficiently.

Have you reached a plateau? Feel like you’re not advancing? Are you frustrated with your efforts? Private clinics will provide the direction, structure, and content to refine and improve your climbing skills. Private clinics can focus on any of the topics listed above or can be custom crafted around a specific technique you’d like to develop. Any of our regularly offered clinics and lessons are available upon request with at least two weeks notice.


NOTE: We must have a minimum of six participants to run each clinic and a minimum of four participants to run Private Clinics. Clinics may run short depending on class size. Registration is first come, first serve. Please call ahead to schedule and reserve your spot as classes often fill up. There may be no room for walk-in registrations.
